Windows are eyes of a room or home. Therefore they give the essence of the room. Windows are in the room, to admit the air and light, to block sunlight or to facilitate privacy.

Obviously windows should work well but they must look best. The decoration of window shows the taste of owner. Here we are with some ideas related to window decoration.

Before starting the decoration of the window, the owner must think about the needs. This depends also on the situation of that very room. Where the room to be decorated is, is that on first floor?

Are the windows opening in the streets? It is obvious that it requires more privacy than other rooms of the home. The exposure of the window is also an important factor. In which direction the windows open. The direction determines the blocks.

It is to be taken into consideration that in which area you are living. In cold areas, windows are a very important means of getting energy. They are required to maintain temperature of the room.

Some people may disagree with this point. If you don’t want to have bare windows, then use covers in excellent manner to complement the architect.

The covers are really needed with awkward looking windows. The colors of dressing depend on two things; what style you really want whether it is contemporary or traditional and secondly what are the colors being used on the walls. The colors must complement to each other.

Now about the style of the curtains, if the windows are vertical, then use curtains, as you are playing hide and seek. Start the curtains with unfolding style from left of the upper window and then move to the right of lower window with folding style.

If you are in favor of contemporary style, use light color for curtains, in contrast to dark colored nature outside.

If the walls of the room are not full with murals, then use colorful curtains with Indian print. It would do the magic.

But be aware, some times different colors of room create cacophony and later it leads to visual discord. It is to note that window decoration must not ruin the balance of the room.
